How to dress a child for skiing?

In order for your child to comfortably and safely participate in skiing activities, it's a good idea to ensure that he or she is properly dressed and equipped. Here are practical tips to help you properly prepare your toddler for the slopes.

Do not dress your child in clothes that are too thick - during activities on the slopes, children do a lot of movement, which causes them to warm up quickly. Choose clothes appropriate to the weather conditions of the day, which will provide thermal comfort, but not overheat the child.

Children often fall and lie down in the snow, so waterproof pants are absolutely necessary. Remember that the snow aprons of the pants should not be tucked into the ski boots - this causes pressure and discomfort while riding.

Good gloves are a must be:

  • Waterproof,
  • In the right size - easy to put on, but not slipping from the hand.

Avoid wool gloves, which quickly get wet and accumulate snow. If classes are longer, it's a good idea to have a spare pair to change into. Gloves not only protect against the cold, but also protect your child's hands from abrasions.

On sunny days, it's a good idea to bring sunglasses that will fit under the helmet. Snow reflects light, which can be a nuisance to a child's eyes while riding.

  • Under-helmet balaclava: It is not necessary, because the helmets provided by us are insulated.
  • Ski Goggles: At low speeds they are not needed. They often evaporate, making visibility and learning difficult.

During activities on the slopes, children often want to drink. Take a thermos of warm tea or a bottle of water with you to make sure your little one is properly hydrated during the activity.

Properly preparing your child for the slopes is the key to successful and safe skiing activities!
